AOL Email Forwarders Removed

Effective 1/31/2012 we no longer support Email Forwarders that are setup to forward to an aol.com address. AOL recently blocked 2 of our servers due to Email Forwarders pointing to AOL addresses. The reason being is because the spam filter on our servers does not work on an Email Forwarder so even spam messages were forwarded to the AOL servers. AOL claims there is a lot of spam coming...

Upgrade Old Software

Recently we have seen an increase in hacking attempts on various sites across all servers. We do have a firewall and security tools in place to protect against any server level attacks. HARD DRIVE FAILURE: cpanel7

Earlier this morning the RAID array (main mirrored hard drives) became degraded for the 3rd time in 2 weeks. We determined one of the hard drives was faulty and replaced it with a new one.   Some customers may currently be experiencing problems accessing their site(s). The problem is we were running a command on the server to remove old Fantastico backups since we no longer offer Fantastico. In the process, some sites were accidentally deleted from the /home folder on the server. We're in the process of restoring those sites now from the daily backup that was ran yesterday...

FrontPage Extensions Discontinued

Frontpage Extensions have been discontinued due to them being phased out my Microsoft years ago. We recently installed new security tool (and a new more advanced firewall) to combat against the increase in hacking attempts and abusive users on our servers. Full Backups - Possible Downtime

Starting 1am Eastern Thursday morning 3/17/2011 full backups will be running on all of our servers. Sometimes this can cause temporary outage of websites. We will do everything we can to keep downtime to a minimum.




Joomla 1.6.1 Released

The Joomla Project announces the immediate availability of Joomla 1.6.1. This is a security release. We will be automatically upgrading any 1.6 installs to 1.6.1 automatically via cPanel > Installatron.
